dfrnt is an independent art brand created by two married artists, Tony and Mia Cabrera. We collaborate on all our pieces under the alias “dfrnt” and approach our work with a social awareness and a desire to create unique original art that contributes to society. We use only sweatshop-free, American made materials and cut no corners in order to bring our customers high quality items they can be proud to own. We hope you enjoy our initial offerings and thank you for your support as we continue to release new work.

dfrntTimes was created to allow our fans to follow what we are up to on a regular basis, and serves as a way for new visitors to discover us before discovering our products. We are definitely in the early stages of growth and appreciate every single friend and customer who takes an interest in our work.

dfrnt ARTIST STATEMENT

dfrnt is the first pairing of two married artists collaborating on art under a single name. We began working on art together shortly after we first met. Originally from Miami Florida and Lennox California we work on our pieces together, correcting each others’ mistakes and creating something together that’s more unique than what we could achieve on our own.

Having attended and graduated art school as well as worked in the film industry has opened our eyes to an evolving art world. Inspired by our environments, we’ve developed a look and style to help us stand out from a crowd. We strive to create informed work that leaves the viewer room to explore both visually and critically.
